About the Site Hackerdemia.com was created to expand on the successful Pentest LiveCD project at De-ICE.net, which has been presented at multiple security conferences and written about in both book and article form. Despite these developments, the design of the De-ICE.net Pentest LiveCD project limited expansion into a larger repository of instruction and research related to penetration testing and hacking in general. In order to expand training opportunities, this site was created with the hope that it could bring multiple groups together, and assist in the formation of new ones. In addition, this site is designed to provide a virtual platform to provide all visitors a place to learn hacking techniques. However, it goes beyond what is currently available on the Internet... Hackerdemia.com is focused on hands-on learning, community development, distance learning opportunities, video and audio blogs, and much, much more. The people who support and develop this site include students, information security professionals, hobbyists, authors, educators, and anyone interested in understanding what hacking is about, and how information security affects everyone. About the OwnerThis site was started and is maintained by Thomas Wilhelm, who is currently employed in a Fortune 50 company performing penetration testing and risk assessments.
